BMW X5 E53 2006 Battery drain
Hi Everyone, thanks for the add
My first post My car was all okay for a year, has a near brand new battery It now goes flat after 2 weeks, so I hooked up amp meter to the negative terminal off battery and to the negative battery post Draws 5.3 amps initially then something goes into sleep mode and drops to 3.3 amps I traced to the panoramic sunroof fuse 58 without this fuse only draws 0.3 amps But the drain isn't on the feed in side it's actually after the sunroof ecu on the pale brown wire next to the red / green strip wire ( the 2 thickest wires) I have headlining and seats out atm so thought I'd try to track down The pale brown wire looks like it goes down the Right hand Drivers side A pillar, I found a wire that goes under the seat to somewhere but I'm really not sure if it goes anywhere else or if its the same wire. Can pull all other fuses out and it doesn't make any difference on Amp draw Hope someone can help me trace it Last edited by X5Richy; 10-23-2023 at 05:02 PM.. |

Do you have ISTA installed? You can pull up a wiring diagram and at least get an idea where they're going to.
