Chargepipe?

Thinking of picking up an X5 n55 and was wondering if this model also has issues with the chargepipe cracking?
I also own n55 version of 135i and 335i and there are lengthy discussions on chargepipes in the forums.
However, there's hardly any mention here.
Just wondering why? And not much in regards to DIY either.

Modding the X5 n55 isn’t as poplar here as modding 1,2,3, etc series cars. The charge pipe is still plastic so it is just as prone to failure as the other cars. I upgraded mine and would recommend you do the same, especially if you plan on trying to create more power.

Same. I tuned my N55 X5 with MHD, but first replaced the chargepipe as MHD increases the boost.

Which charge pipes did you guys buy? Will any N55 charge pipe fit? Say from a 135i, 335i, 535i etc...

VRSF. Check out X-ph.com for them. Our n55 downpipe is the same as the f10 535

Whoops sorry. That’s what happens when you are posting at 230am haha.

But looking at CHARGEPIPES, it does look like the e70 n55 chargepipe is the same as the 5,6, and 7 series
