I ordered a Snow Peformance 2.5 kit for my n55.

Will let you know how it goes. I see you have an X5M though.

Meth kits are pretty universal, they just defer in terms of quality and features and controls.

Even running water alone would be a huge benefit to just cooling and valve cleaning.

But when running meth, is there any tuner that is actually, tuning for it to make more power?

I agree, that most all modern WMI kits are near universal. From higher end Aquamist, to DIY kits, to mass produced AEM kits.

Doubt there are any OTS maps for meth but guys like Twisted Tuning will absolutely develop custom maps for you.

Do you need to tune for meth to benefit from it or can just adding a meth system improve hp and cleaning. I have a tune and was hoping maybe someday just adding meth especially since I have a diesel. Does anyone have a write up on adding to the diesel?

As far as I understand it, meth by itself will help with cleaning and maybe a small tick up in power with the stock tune. To take full advantage of it from a power perspective, you need a tune written for it.

Contact the guys at Twisted Tuning. They do custom tunes and developed their own meth system. They will be able to give you the complete answer

Running straight water is fine and requires zero tuning. You get a cleaning effect and reducing intake temps.

Adding in a 50/50 meth ratio would have the added benefit of increasing octane. (At least in a gasoline powered vehicle, I don't know diesel at all)

To take advantage of the octane boost, that is where the tuning comes in.

Wondering if I could tap the charge pipe (plastic piece) for the spray nozzle.

With a proper fitting, sure, anything is possible.

I’m sure it’s possible but if it were me, I would just upgrade the charge pipe and get the benefit of a more reliable piece and already comes tapped for meth (at least the N55 pipes do)

There is no upgrade for the x5m charge pipe.

One gear wrench that works on these motors suggested cutting the charge pipe in half, getting an aluminum piece with rubber on both sides as couplers, drill the hole in the aluminum and insert your port there
