2012 X5 50i Intake Duct

Noob here so pardon the noobness. Changing plugs and coils and noticed the Rt side intake duct going into the turbo is loose and wondering if it is something I should be concerned with. Looks like a 6mm hex bolt on top so prob at least 1 on the bottom that requires a few hoses to come off. Orange gasket between the duct and turbo is in tact but the duct wiggles. Lt side does not. Is this something that needs attention or not? First pic is the duct, second is where it meets turbo.

If that is past the air filter, which it appears to be, then Yes I would be alarmed.
It would be sucking unfiltered air into the turbo, and by the looks of it you live in an area with some sand or other gritty material (stuck to the outside of the duct). Imagine that getting into your turbo which spins at god-knows-how-many thousand rpm...

Will let the experts chime in here but for sure you have to seal that up. BTW I am not seeing an orange gasket.

If you zoom in on the close up you can see a spec of orange. Gasket is mostly black now...88k miles.

That tab where you have that hex on both ends broke and never replaced it but never got CEL and doesn't collect black dirt/oil residue…hope this helps

Yep I see that there should be a tab there now. Hard to see through the dust. Thanks for the help.
