Howzit!
It looks like I actually have tracking of my harness from Latvia for the leds. Now I want to deal with the FRM. If I'm understanding your posts correctly you actually did not need a new one? You were able to get your existing one coded to work, is that right? |

Ok, cool. Thanks for clarifying. One final question now. Does the new FRM need to be coded to the vehicle first and then coded for the leds? Or is that all done at the same time through autologic? Reason I ask is because I have a warranty visit with the dealer next week so if the FRM needs to be coded to the car first I would have the dealer code it for the car since I'm there anyways.

On another note... (modding continues): I replaced my yellowed and nasty engine cover with a brand new one. It seems that the recently installed downpipes creates far less engine bay heat than before. The temperatures are more like a normal vehicle rather than a raging fire pit, so I'm hoping that this new cover will last longer as well as other heat sensitive parts under the hood. Before: After: and more cosmetic improvements to the front: (Proper OEM Carbon lip spoiler) Gixxer - just trying to keep up with the Joneses...err M3 Guy. Sounds good, thanks for the update. I'll definitely be ordering a new FRM then. Better safe than sorry. Wire harness is supposedly in New York now so this led headlight project might be happening quicker than anticipated.
Nice job on the continued mods. I have a new engine cover waiting to go on after downpipe installation myself. Now just vinyl wrap the lower center indentation of the bumper gloss black and you will be all set. Also don't let the Joneses get to you as you are ahead of them with your headlights and downpipes... for now. |

Thanks! I have considered LCI tail lights, but believe it or not, I like the Celis lights better... go figure!

Do it! If you do DPs, your stock exhaust will sound amazing. I thought it was way too loud at first, but it's growing on me. Last edited by gixxerboy63; 08-02-2015 at 10:50 AM.. |

Beast is looking sharp. Going to need a proper photo shoot now... and some lci tails. Btw the magical harness from Latvia showed up yesterday so now it's time to procure everything else. Did you use a specific vendor for your led headlight/modules? |

Yes, I do need to do proper photoshoot.... Bimmerfest East is happening next week in New Jersey and we're planning to make the trip. Hopefully there will be some good photo opportunities there and along the way. There will also be competition events going on at the show so, if my new tune arrives in time.... About the LCI taillights... I guess its the only thing that gives it away that mine is a 2010. I actually prefer the Cellis taillights myself, but I may have to give in to peer pressure once again... |
