Engine noise or loud rotating gear noise?

Hello everyone,
First I would like to say "Thank You" for all or any help.
I am new to this forum and in need of a second opinion.
I own a 2013 BMW X5 35i Premium, recently began to hear an unusual noise in the engine area, when I open any door, when the vehicle is park,
Yes, the noise happens while the vehicle is just parked,
and for some unknown reason the noise comes and goes, I do not hear the noise all the time,
I will do my best to explain,,the noise is a loud rotating gear turning sound, or a very loud clicking.
I have read some info about the actuator and shaft problems but I am not convinced the noise is internal,
what other vehicles make noise just parked,
how do I resolve this issue? Thank you

Wen you open any door, when the vehicle is park the noise is your Air Suspension Compressor that's normal

I agree with you, I think the noise is external.
I will try and pinpoint the exact location and reply asap, thanks
