Throttle response?
Is there any tune available for our cars to fix the dreaded delay in throttle response? I just absolutely hate how long it takes fo my car to start pulling from the time I mash the throttle and it's difficult to make quick passes/maneurs in traffic due to this throttle delay.
I saw a video of a tuner shop in Russia reprogramming the ECU of an E70 precisely to get rid of this delay, and if they can do it in Russia, there's got to be someone on this side of the pond that can do it as well. |

I'm not sure Sprint Booster will solve the throttle delay issue. I had a similar device called Blitz throttle controller on my Lexus years ago and was disappointed with the results. These devices just manipulate throttle input - basically when you press your pedal 20% it sends 40% signal to the ECU. But how the ECU reacts to the throttle input is a matter of ECU programming. While cruising in my X5, I can fully depress and release the pedal very quickly, and only after I have already released the pedal RPM will go up just a tad. The ECU is just programmed to slowly react to the throttle input, and its kind of absurd not to be able to make quick passes having over 400 ft. lb torque on tap.

I love my x5d! I had some more power added with the tune and all of the deletes/full exhaust. Just did hybrid turbos and still deciding on what tires to buy.
