They do have security cameras after speaking to the manager at Gymboree, only problem was I parked so far away from other cars I was out of range

Someone swiped my rear bumper corner pretty good at the YMCA during a little kid's soccer party. No note or anything. I painted / cleared / buffed it myself, its not too noticeable now unless you look close. But it irritated me for two months.

it helps to know someone in the police willing to help you. Depending on the city/town, not all police officers are willing to take the extra step to help you out. Here in SF, it'll probably be categorized as a "quality of life" crime
