e70 xdrive35i n55 catch can?

I'm interested in installing a catch can for MY13 e70 35i. I've searched but haven't had any luck finding info on a specific kit or DIY. Has anyone successfully installed one on their e70?

There's some pictures of one fitted to the S63 in this thread.

ECS sell generic ones for the 35i > https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E70-X5...ine/ES2500608/

Otherwise check fleabay for universal kits - they're all pretty similar (just check for installation clearances, hose fitting sizing and choose one that has internal baffles).

What do you think you'll gain from one? There are so many other things you could do with more quantifiable benefits/gains. catch cans while serving a purpose, seem to be the new "nos," or BOV bling item to get.

Otherwise, a catch can is a catch can, and you just install what fits. "kit specific," only means more expensive.

I'm not looking for a performance gain. I'm looking to prolong the life of the engine by reducing the amount of valvular oil sludge that develops exponentially with direct injection engines.

Im at 65k miles with no appreciable issuee and never cleaned via bmw. I scoped the intake and saw little build up as is. The n55 is much better than the n54. But direct injection will always have this issue but not ne a burden till you reach high miles or have poor maintenance schedules (eg pcv etc)
