I kind of like the early shark vettes and can be had for relatively cheap. Just for a fun car.

Arlington? Yeah, I went to high school at Lamar. I had my Alfa there from '90-'92.

By the time I sold mine, it was no longer stock. It had a high-rise manifold with 850 Holley, Hooker headers, free flow exhaust, and interior was changed from blue vinyl interior to factory black leather interior. Because of the high-rise manifold, it also had a L-88 hood. Looked and ran great!! Wish I still had it.

The car just doesn’t feel like a M car.

Just 5....hmmm, I've owned a lot of cars.

First car was a 1969 Firebird, I loved that car.
When I lived in the north I had a Jeep CJ7, it was very useful and I enjoyed it a lot.
1968 Sunbeam Tiger, what a Kool car, very unique and something I probably should've kept as there were only 477 produced.
BMW Z4MC, what a great car, I miss it but gave it up for my 993 which I got one year ago yesterday. Way Kool....

Did you not expect tq steer with a FWD car?!

There will always be traction issues when you add HP, no matter what car (Short of AWD).

Having owned 2 Mazdaspeed6, I am very familiar w/the MS3 as well. My 1st MS6 I bought new so the aftermarket was, of course, not some mod heaven yet. Takes time like all cars.

Weak motor mounts? Never had any issues on my end & I never see that as a common complaint.

The GTI neither has the tq steer of the Ms3, nor the traction issues... Perhaps VW was intelligent enough to cap the power of the car and tq at a reasonable level for the chassis, my car was always stock and could never be driven. The Ms6 is an awd car; they do not compare... my complaints are common for the Ms3

The MS3 & MS6 have same drive train, I was not comparing them with traction...

So VW was great enough to neuter the car.

The same drive train doesn't make it the same car...

Yes, VW was great enough to do this and offered a Golf R version for the higher 290 HP... an excellent car with a great chassis on its own... in fact one that can run 11s w 3 mods if one so wishes and be an awesome DD.

In chronological order:

1) 1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula with built 383 engine swap

Combined the best parts of my first two cars and it was a rocket ship . Worked on this car with my Dad and have very fond memories of it. Was also driving this car when I met my wife.

2) 1999 Pontiac Trans Am

First new car, purchased shortly after finishing college and getting my first real job. First car I took to the drag strip. Lots of good memories.

3) 2002 Honda S2000

First roadster, lots of fun to drive. Purchased new and kept for seven years, the longest I have ever owned a car. Have had a few others since, but this was the best.

4) 2017 BMW M3

First new BMW. Ordered and picked up at the Performance Center in SC. Great experience, which led to taking M Performance class later. Awesome car, just not a great fit at the time when I owned it.

5) 2018 Dodge Charger Hellcat

Highest horsepower car I have owned by a good margin. First car that I am genuinely a little afraid to floor. Also, despite the power, the car is very tame in daily driving. Very comfortable for the daily drive or to take the family out.
