Changed out my spark plugs and put heat shields on crossover lines, filtered air ducts, and water lines on top of engine.

Downpipes are a mofo, but as you said, with a buddy and lift, that changes everything!
Downpipes are in and tune is flashed but had a pretty gnarly exhaust leak up at one of the v bands on top. Going to BMW tomorrow to pick up a new v band clamp and new gaskets. Hopefully will have this job wrapped up tomorrow afternoon.

Sounds like you are getting the BMW brand, I tried going cheap and have exhaust leaks too. I noticed the after market turbo to manifold and turbo to downpipe..errr.. I mean catalytic converter gaskets where thinner then factory BMW and believe this is the source so I just picked up some new ones from BMW too...32 dollars each

I replaced the soft-close latch and motor assembly in the driver's side. I have 142K and open a s close the door at least 10 times a day so really can't complain...well except for the price, no after market versions I would trust so 454 dollars at the dealer.... Pretty easy job over all

I ordered the gaskets from FCP Euro that were supposedly OEM graphite gaskets. The gaskets seemed super fat and it was hard to get the top of downpipe lined up and to get the vband to seal on all sides so it was just a huge leak right there.

I got the expensive ones from the dealer, they took a little bit to get them in and fitted. It also took a lot of wrenching and twisting to get the pipes to sit flush against the top turbo side. I had to rubber mallet the vband in place while putting pressure on the pipe. Took all of my strength to get them in place alone. I also had to loosen the exhaust and drop the hangers over and over to get things to sit right, then put them back in reverse. Finally everything was tight and fit. Except, and this is a big one, my bolts in the bottom of the downpipes were too long, so I tightened them all the way and thought that was it, but there was a 1/2 space left on both sides that was a giant exhaust leak and the bottom gaskets eventually flew out of the openings.

Had to air hammer the bolts out and replace them. Was a nightmare... still need to revisit it again when I have some time.

Not very exciting, but the bottom tabs from my front bumper to undertray were broken, so I pulled my bumper skin off to fix a dislodged parking sensor, and put it all back together with some zip tie magic. No more hanging plastic, or annoying sensor scream when reversing.
I had been driving my truck for the last few weeks, glad to be back in the M!

Today, I commuted in the X5d... Oh wait, that's every day. I've done around 2k miles since the delete and tune, and I'm super pleased with the setup. Sounds no different from the inside, but crack the windows and you hear those turbos spooling! Wonderful noises! I spend the last 600mile tank driving pretty arrogantly, and I got 28.6 mpg. That's the exact best I ever got before the delete, babying it everywhere with cruise at 70mph. Now cruise is set to 75+, and I'm feeling the acceleration whenever I want to.

The best part is really the launch ability of the X5. Taking off from a brake boost, the old 255 wide winters that I bought the car with ride the struggle bus while trying to keep grip. I can feel the wandering of them playing at their limits, which is a pretty hilarious thing to feel in a 5k pound SUV.

I drive about 140 miles a day now, 100 for commuting and then 40 is round trip to my shop, where my drift car is finally almost back together again. Can't wait to use the X5 to tow it for the first time, it'll be a run to the tire shop for a quick alignment!

Downpipes are in, leaks are sealed, and tune is flashed with no warning lights on the dash. She definitely pulls harder based on the short test drive I just did. Will have a better feel for the difference with the tune over the next few days and will provide and update with my thoughts.

Edit: one thing I will say right away is that actually hearing the turbos spool is AWESOME!
