Stage 2 Pureturbos ordered
So I jumped on their Black Friday deal, 15% off.
Current tune is is from TTFS, put down 463AWHP and about 548AWTQ. I spoke with Frank Smith and he's ready to tune for the bigger turbos, hopefully I see 600 at the wheels like we saw with Gixxer's build. I will update this thread with the progress. I do also plan to do the preventative maintenance work of changing out the plastic Y fitting that goes across the two heads under the turbos, will use a metal Y. The plastic piece is known to fail. By then I should also have the Custom fabricated Charge pipe coupler which allows the use of the stock diverters. Pureturbos said itll take about 2 weeks, I will start to remove my old Turbos around the second week of December. |

That is great news! Looking forward to this. Get some DEI Wrap or sleeves for the hoses etc as they have a sale on now.

Also buy the small sleeves for the hoses like the ones that run above the turbos and down to the valve covers.

So the Turbos still have not yet shipped. Pureturbos told me they are going to build them in batches for all the different types they've sold during black friday.
Anyway, in the mean time I've spoken to my tuner and have the tuning module on the way which should be here on Monday. Need to pair it (MyGenius device) to my car so that I can pull the current tune and send it back to be revised. Although he has the tune on hand, this process is needed so that the MyGenius device pairs with the DME & VIN. Will be tuning for 22psi max at the top end. I've asked to keep the torque low, so the boost will be ramped up from 18 -> 22PSI. Will also be ordering some PTP Universal T3 heat shields to put on each turbo. |

They are finally here!
Cold side seems to be milled .2" bigger to fit the bigger compressor wheel. Hot side has a new turbine and upgraded wastegate which looks like it would never fail. |
