Blower Fuse

I have a 2008 X5 4.8i

Can someone help me identify the Blower fuse?

It stopped working and I want to confirm it's not the fuse before taking it in for a new Blower?

See the white sheet on the right. Pull that out should tell you which fuse if for which control item.

Ditto OshBaKosh...if that's a pic of your fuse box...the fuse index and diagram is right there...folded up waiting for you to pull it out, open it, then look for the location and fuse number.

If you are not familiar with BMW's fuse index & diagram...that fuse location index should have the front and rear fuse box location illustrated & numbered along with the fuse's amperage listed below the fuse #.

Then there's also the fuse symbol/icon index (used to be text and was so much easier to understand)...but I will assume that the blower's symbol/icon is the same one used on the IHKA control panel's button that lowers/raises the fan speed.

Below are images of a 2011 X5's fuse location index and diagram. Note that the icon for the blower is the 7th one down in the middle column of icons. The box to the right of that icon indicates what fuses control that icon. Refer back to the fuse number index to find the location (and amperage) of that fuse. (note that the color of the fuses can also be helpful in finding it...all fuses of the same amperage are the same color):

IF YOU HAVE THE FUSE INDEX FOR YOUR BMW...USE IT INSTEAD IN CASE THERE'S A DIFFERENCE FOR THE LATTER (LCI) 2011 X5 50i

Based on this, there are 6 possible fuses it could be? My blower stopped working sometime over the weekend and I am hoping it could just be a fuse before I take it in for repair. Will also check to see if there are any codes. Did you get yours resolved? Thanks

It wasn't the fuse….a buddy of mine basically just firmly hit the blower motor and it kicked back on…..didn't have any other issues with it since then….lol!

Lucky you! How did you access it? From under the hood? I haven't had a chance to look yet but would like to try that, too.

I believe it was under the passenger side dashboard….if I recall correctly. I'm not sure if he removed a couple panels or not???

Try Google and good luck!
