There is a thread below regarding replacing angel eyes. You probably saw the upgrade X5 with the new angel eyes, seen a few around now and yes they are very bright!

Unfortunately there is not much room to work with around the headlight area so I am sporting knuckles like Alex the cage fighter at the moment! But am pleased with the results. Once I can find out where to host pics they will go up. |

Having read all the threads am even more confused
Having said that, which light bulb will fit the standard housing in 2011 model? And will this bulb (I think it is PIAA one) not have an LED effect, but will light brighter in white (and look better than the standard one). Do I just buy the bulb? It truly sucks that BMW still did not change this for the x6, amazes me that even the "exclusive" 7 series owners also do not have LED corona rings. They wont change it as there is plenty of us out there who are still willing to buy one. |

Nothing to be confused about. This subject has been beaten to death here. I myself have posted because I've had a few different sets, regular bulbs and LED. The LUX are the best hands down. I think there are some that will fit the X6 coming soon. I guess you guys have more restricted spot to work with. My E92 was the worst. But seems like you guys have less room. Most other LEDs like Piaa look great at night. During the day, most are barely visible. Some not at all. The best bang for the buck are the GP Thunders. They look very good during the day, and good at night. That's what I have on my X5 right now, until the new LUX are released.

I also have a set of these as back-up; http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=400186438992
I've seen many posts about different bulbs, LEDs, whatever now that I have searched the site properly. I guess at the moment it pays to have options and I'll stick with whatever gives me the results I am looking for. The current set-up I have installed is not 'in your face' bright but it is constant, runs cool, and an improvement over stock yellow tint. PICS!!! http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c60/snipez999/ Last edited by snipez999; 01-30-2011 at 02:42 PM.. |

I am currently waiting for someone to test these lights out for me, but hopefully the LUX H8 LED's will fit, and these are the brightest on the market. Please see the link on the bottom of my signature for a link over the E90Post Also - my web site is currently under construction

Sorry but the current version does not fit correctly. I am working to make an additional change to make them work.
