Can I jump start my 2013 BMX X5 ?

I have a dead battery on my 2013 BMW x5 and for me to get the car to a garage I need to jump start it. Can I do that using my 2018 Nissan Rogue ? I heard people suggesting against jump starting any German cars. Suggestions ?

Yes you can jump. Just be sure to use the positive and negative terminals in the engine bay. Do not connect directly to the battery in the trunk

Ditto...make sure you jump start using the terminals in the engine bay...because you have an IBS (intelligent battery sensor).

Refer to your owners manual if you don't know where the positive AND negative connections are supposed to be made in the engine bay.
