X6 E71 to X5 E70 internal door panels compatibility
Hi guys, I found myself in need of replacing my internal door panels (all 4 front and rear). I found a nice set on eBay and about to pull the trigger but I have couple of doubts that I’m hoping some of you might be able to help me with (I did some research but couldn’t come up with definite answers)
The set that I found is from X6 E71 and the panels are intended for X5 E70 I’m pretty confident that fronts will work (fit) just fine as it seems the sizes are exactly the same (unless somebody can say other way) My main concern about rear panels: 1. Are the rear doors panels sizes in X6 are the same as the rear door panels in X5? 2. I have rear sunshades in my car and the set that I found doesn’t have that option, I looked around and I can’t find out for sure if the rear sunshades are build in to the rear door panels or they just add ons that can be installed with the panels that originally didn’t have them? I would really appreciate any help on above

Realoem shows different part numbers between the X5 & X6 (even though the pics look the same) - there are multiple part numbers depending on color and leather, but I didn't see any commonality between the two lists.
There are different part numbers for doors w/ sun vizor and without (two distinct pages on realoem) I can take photos of my X6M if that would help. |

Thank you for looking in to it! I know the numbers are different and I also know that numbers will be different for sunshide/no sunshide even for the same body style! I have plenty of pictures, would you be able to take rough measurements instead, vertical + horizontal, it will go to X5M so if the sizes are the same I think this should work!

Sorry for the crappy pics in a dark garage [passenger front, then passenger rear, and one shot of drivers - may have gotten mixed up, but should be able to tell by the speakers] - the angle of the door is what might be the difference/issue - the rear sunshades are definitely different (probably couldn't retrofit).
My neighbor has an X5, so I might be able to compare side-by-side if no one else chimes in. |
