winter tires fitment

Hi All
Looking to replace my winter tires on my 21" aftermarket rims. Currently I have 285 x 35x 21 all square pirelli winter tires. I was think of replacing them with 285 x 40 x 21 tires. Will the 40 profile cause any problems. I would like to get more meat on the sidewalls. Overall height with the 285x40x21 would be 30" that 1.1" taller the 28x35x21 profile. Anyone forsee any issue other the speedometer being off?

It's going to hard to get an effective winter tire in that size. You probably need something more conventional. Something like R19 255/50
