Megan Muffler Installed - Pics & Review
I ordered my Megan muffler from Mike @ Extreme Power House last week. Great customer service with these guys! I had a few questions regarding fitment and tip options etc, all of my questions were answered almost immediately and my order was completed the same day. Great guys to deal with
The exhaust was shipped in a nice big box wrapped very well. The whole axle back system comes as 3 pieces, the muffler section and the two tips. Clamps are provided to bolt the tips to the muffler section and the whole thing gets welded on to your mid pipe. I didn't get too many good pics of the exhaust once it was installed because I was so excited to hear it. I will update this thread later on with a few exhaust videos & better pics. Fitment is great, the tips are adjustable so you can run them up down or slide them left and right to make them line up perfectly in the exhaust cutouts. Note: I have an Msport so this product WILL fit both standard and Msport rear bumpers without need for modification. The burnt tip finish is awesome, and the Megan logo adds a nice subtle touch to each side of the tips. The sound...!!!! My car has a catless downpipe and a BMS intake, so it was already very loud for an X5 (35i N55). My one worry when the exhaust arrived was that the mufflers are straight through resonator style cans. I didn't know how loud or how much drone I was going to have with this setup. Thankfully the exhaust is not much louder than the stock muffler was (note this might be different for those who don't have a catless downpipe). Before with the catless DP and stock muffler there was a lot of noise, a little drone but not much tone quality. With the megan exhaust, the exhaust note is much deeper and drones LESS than the stock muffler did with a catless DP. Overall: Customer Service from the guys at Extreme Power House is top notch. Fitment of the exhaust is great (will work with regular X5 rear bumpers as well as the Msport). Sound is a big improvement over the stock exhaust! Better pics and exhaust clips to come

Santa is supposed to be bringing me a charge pipe. And then it's time for the custom dyno tune. Shooting for mid 300 wheels and torque numbers in the 4's. If we can't reach that on the stock turbo, hell... Even if we do then we will be making a call to Vargas Oh and coilovers at some point. First I gotta take care of my rear main seal leak

Sweet! Post a video!
Any details on the down pipe? I've heard that the F10 N55 down pipes are compatible with the E70 N55. Looking to take the plunge so just doing some research. Mike

What do you wanna know about the downpipe? Any n55 F10 dp is supposed to work. The VRSF one is what I have. It was $400. Great fit. Made a great change in sound and the truck pulls harder with it (I'm tuned). Install took just over an hr. Any other questions feel free to ask

Is this the one? http://www.redline360.com/megan-raci...MR-ABE-BX5M-BT
Price is $378 which is great. You and others on this forum said this is straight forward plug and play but the product page says: Professional installation, cutting and welding required (Muffler shop recommended) Which one is it? |

Was thinking about running the same set up, glad to see that someone else has done it before me. Everyone runs the ar downpipes and eisenmann exhaust so I wasn't sure how well the other options performed. I'm making more of a long term project out of it so I'm not sure what to do first. I was planning on starting with the catless vrsf downpipe but would you recommend starting with something else? Want the biggest sound and performance gain but can't really determine which to start with.
