X6M On 21" 612's Lowered on ... ?
Hey everyone!
So currently i just got a set of 21" 612's from Murdered6m (Thanks bro) I ordered Dinan Springs and the Ride Quality & Handling Kit https://www.ecstuning.com/b-dinan-pa...d100-0915~din/ https://www.ecstuning.com/b-dinan-pa...d100-0915~din/ I'm looking for a cleaner look but not something that sticks out too much or looks too aftermarket I'd like to keep it basically kind of low key as to not have my aftermarket warranty try to blame my suspension for any issues with anything else in the future. From what i've read on a few posts here on Xbimmers, some people had a issue with the Dinan springs causing weird ride height issues, or some programming needed? Do all lowering springs need programming? I'd like a 1" to 1.5" drop at most, if its possible to keep the EDC feature still useable that would be a great + I'm open to using the dinan springs and kit, but considering the whole programming thing, i'm a little lost. here's a link to the post i'm referring to : https://www.xbimmers.com/forums/show....php?t=1021164 Any input would be great! |

just buy 1.2" H&R kit, many ppl including myself used them with no issues.
not too many go for DINAN springs as they might or might not give u issues...

Unfortunately I don't but many ppl have it so just look around, I never had H&Rs on my M, I have KWs but I had them on my regular X5 before and it was good, I agree on the weight, M is heavier but I aways was overthinking my decision going with 1.2" I wished I went with 2", so this would be perfect for M!

Full Dinan S1 Signature here. The drop is moderate and the bushings are fantastic. Honestly how the car should have come. Going on 3 years soon, absolutely no ride height issues and from what I remember there was no programming required. The only issue is that Dinan (before the Carbahn rename, in Campbell at the time) actually broke their spring compressor and had to wait a couple of days to get a new one and complete the install. Apparently the springs are so stiff, they needed quite a bit of effort to get installed.

love the look, are those the bmw ventvisors? how are they? any road noise? also how is the sound of the dinan exhaust? ive been contemplating it but not too sure... i do like the fact that i the valves go between quiet and loud..
also for your tail fin's did you paint them or put them on unpainted? |

The window wind/rain deflectors? They are OEM. I rarely have the windows down these days but IMO they reduce noise.
Dinan exhaust is bittersweet for me. The exhaust note of the S63 was not that impressive to begin with. Yes, it's better than stock. At times I somewhat want something a little louder but not obnoxious. Have thought maybe Eisenmann but it's so hard to gamble on something so expensive with no chance of getting to hear it before you pull the trigger. (Youtube vids don't do any of the exhausts justice.) I've debated going Akra but would rather go stage 2 or do something different for that price. tail fins? Not sure what you're referring to there.
