This setup is fucking great - still running stock tuning and trying to pass smog - Exhaust note is much better from about 3k+ with all stock cats+exhaust otherwise it isn’t noticeable but the improvement is really nice much better

Makes some really nice spool and blowoff sounds which is easily noticeable in the cabin above 3k .... will probably put the JB4 back on and do some experimenting the stock tune sucks.

Hi there, I was just wondering was there any reason why your primary o2 seniors are wired over the wrong way?

ECU detected they were getting swapped signals and set off a CEL a few times, would happen immediately on startup.

I swapped them and this has so far been running great without throwing malfunctions and CEL’s.

I daily this right now and no issues

Interesting, I had a similar problem a while back, I just unplugged the primary O2 on one side. May try this and see what happens..

That sure is one way to fix the problem .....

I need to look at the manifold that came off the truck again - they are supposed to be the same but the ECU thinks differently.

Mostly stock honestly but the exhaust and turbo sounds now make it way better .... wife said it sounds like a spaceship.

The spooling and blowoff is really good .... will be way better once I get some good downpipes and modify my exhaust

I’ve thought about putting it on a dyno if I can find a decent one that is local

Running this setup with about 2k miles on it have been able to keep the CEL off for the most part feels really strong ... the ECU has complained about the atmospheric blowoff sometimes but doesn’t seem to bother it much since it hasn’t triggered a CEL and only set a code off once for O2 after deacceleration.

Ive noticed the exhaust notes a lot more now and it sounds significantly better when just driving around in normal D mode ... has a much sportier sound a lot less chug if that makes sense.

Probably going to make some intakes to vent the blowoff valves back in but not to concerned at this point.

Very happy with this

hello frank, been following your progress. I'm definitely interested in buying a kit from you if you think of making one. Any progress with this set up?

Mind sharing screenshots of your JB4 settings, including Map 6? I've messed with mine so much over the years I don't even know what stock settings were anymore. At this point I'm 90 FOL and max boost is 21psi from like 3500rpm onwards if I recall but things like the ratio settings and what not escape me. I just wanna copy and paste what works.

I wonder how much you're putting down. The m5 turbo manifold alone should give you 10-15whp...the bigger turbos another 30

Interesting to see the f10 turbos can push 30psi (24psi safely).

The question is who makes a tune that'll reach those numbers. I'm running and Halim Cazimi/HCP tune (he's since moved onto newer platforms) and JB4, yet the car will go into limp mode doing anything over 21psi. I'd love to run more if there was a way around this.

I've spoken to Frank Smith and he's willing to tune it for me once I've installed it.

Alright so I got a set of these manifolds in. Not going to use the S63tu turbos though as I have upgraded stage 2 pureturbos.

Looking at the dimensions it seems all that's needed is to machine the lip on the manifold and the turbos should fit. I test fit my stock turbos in these and it seems that's all that's needed. The gasket that this manifold uses also fits the turbo side perfectly.

I approached RK autoworkes about the machining and they are already well aware of what to do to make this fit, as they told me they've done this before for others.

I'm doing the same project. I bought m5 manifold, also had a friend who worked for bmw. He had sitting in his shed basically bran new m5 turbo. That the dealer obviously replaced under warranty. So I bought them from him. No shaft play or signs of damaged oil seals.
