Long Crank
Hello everyone. I have a 2011 BMW x5 35i with the n55. The car runs well and I do not have any codes but I have been dealing with a longer than normal crank before start up. I hooked up ista and monitored the actual hpfp rail pressure vs the nominal (expected) hpfp rail pressure. During cranking, the actual hpfp rail pressure was right around 1.5 MPa and the car was calling for right around 12 MPa. When the car was idling, the actual rail pressure and nominal pressure were very close at right around 12 MPa. I turned the car off right after and checked rail pressure with it off and it dropped to like 0.5 MPa. Do you guys see anything off with these numbers? Should the actual pressure be so far off of the nominal pressure when cranking? Should the pressure drop off so fast after turning the vehicle off? The car takes an extra 2 seconds to crank and start so it's not anything ridiculous, but it definitely seems off. Thanks everyone for the help!
