They may be able to make it look like an X6 but it will never perform like a BMW.

Take one look at the MDX. Anything Acura does can only look better.

agreed. I was in the market for an usa last year and heard so many good things about the mdx but ultimately didn't even drive it because I couldn't get past the horrid looks. on the performance front though, supposedly acura's super handling awd is similar to system in the x6 and gets great reviews, so the acura will likely be a closer competitor than the infiniti. to be sure it won't be as good as the x6, but it will definitely be much cheaper and hence may have some success.

I don't know where these rags get there ideas.

If Acura/Honda came out with a crossover, logic suggests it would compete with lower end crossovers.

The concept of comparing a $30-$40k vehicle to a $60-$80k vehicle with a huge V8 option is mind boggling.

Honda is and has always been basic transportation.

Acura was ahead with the Legend, but that is only because they were the first in the Jap luxury market. They quicky lost out to rear wheel drive, Lexus, V8's, etc.
