Right now it's all the stuff that I want in the car (reflectors if broken down, flares, fire starting stuff, some waters, granola bars, toothbrush+ toothpaste, tow rope, a pair of underwear and socks, and in winter I keep my heaviest carhartt jacket in there just in case I need to be warm and can't make a fire if I'm stuck somewhere and can't get out. Never know, I use the tow rope to pull people out of situations 3 times this winter, and having a toothbush around comes in handy randomly.

I want to get one of the spare tires for the x5 though, as I don't plan on ever running runflats. On long trips when towing I just throw a winter wheel on the trailer with all the drift spares.

Not a mechanic, more of a hobby of mine. If you have stock suspension, it should be easier to slide the upper mount bolts out. It's not difficult, just takes time to remove trim covers and the wheel arch on the right side to gain access to the rear through bolt.

Left side requires a lot less trim removal. You will need to move the coolant reservoir a bit to gain access to the front nut. Just remember to torque the through bolts with load on the suspension. I did this with the wheel off and lifted each corner with a floor jack.

The genuine set is a fixed/non adjustable at .5 negative and about $300ea. I ordered mine off ebay with these part #s

Added Lux LED angel eyes and some oil saver for my minor oil leak. Dealer says it's the oil pan gasket, but Indy says it's not bad and he wouldn't mess with it yet. Hoping the oil saver helps restore the gasket.

Worked on my wife's 2013 35d. Front and rear brake pads and sensors today as well as flushing the fluid. Lots of rust so they took me a lot longer than I anticipated. I sprayed the bleeder valves with wd40 at the beginning of the job and they broke loose without too much trouble. Wasn't sure what the caliper bolts were so I took this pic. (7mm internal hex)

Nice I have some brand new BMCs that I installed, then replaced the whole system with custom ones. I should probably throw them up for sale...

Also, what width are those rear wheels? Are you running a square setup with the 22" wheels? Looks like the rear are same as the front...

Changed out the center rear DIFF oil, going to do the L & R next. The front DIFF looks like it's going to be a PITA.

Well this weekend I towed my drift car to it's first event. The 35d handled it like a dream!
Except yesterday, on my way to work, I got a wild vibration, and droning noise, that tells me I pushed one of the rear wheel bearings past it's limits. More than 217k miles on those bearings, it's about time they went!

I've actually had a decent highway vibration from the rear since I bought it, but never figured out what it was. Now that it matches up with the drone/ grind, I realize it was likely the bearing starting to go for the last 10+k miles. I'm hoping it's nice and smooth after it's fixed tomorrow!

I used the middle terminal of the positive block on the battery for the positive lead, and used a common ground at the base of whatever module is to the right of the battery. It showed minimal resistance and great ground attributes and good bolt width for just the 4 AMP push that I have going into the hatch.

I went with this tender:

AND

I added this extension cable for the run between the battery and the tender. I want to put as much distance between them as possible and this works well:

Damn looks great man. That's not a small addition - really want to pick one up one day. Pissed they didn't throw them on the X5M from factory.

Thanks, I'll have some better pics soon, still at the shop... waiting on a couple parts to come in.

They've come way down in price, just $1299 from ECS...

$1299 and then a few bits of hardware here and there to complete install right?

What parts is your shop waiting on to finish everything up?

Right, but you don't need them to do it and can do it after the fact if you're on a budget.

Waiting on the under hood insulation, even though I told them several times, they didn't order it. Some clips for the insulation. Also had them install my piano black interior!
