I'm not a fan either, except when the watch requires that strap type, but also don't preach to those who do like them on other watches.

Anyway, it's a New Year, so no bickering
Well no, lol I dont like it because it looks cheap lol if it requires that strap type, then that's a different issue altogether haha

I believe in the old adage, if you've nothing nice to say, don't say it - now I can't wait until you post some of your universally cool wrist wear

I dont mind that people dont like what I have, I dont pretend like I have anything as cool as some of these guys, including the one I've been talking about, but if anyone is bothered by what I have to say, they have other problems.

I dont have an Omega anymore, in fact all of my watches are sub 1k these days, but *I think* they're really cool. I'm toning down the watch collection and spending, trying to keep it simple and spend on my vehicles again instead lol

I've posted some of mine in this thread at one point or another, go hate on them if you want. Theres a Tag in here, a hamilton, a lum-tec, seiko, maybe something else, If you dont want opinions, dont post on a forum.

He didn't ask for an opinion though. When people do, fine. otherwise it's simply rude.

That's the thing about the internet, posting your life automatically gives me permission to give my opinion. But yes, we can agree to disagree.

When Rolex supplied the military, they too were issued on Phoenix Nato straps and now a rare thing, regularly achieve over $100k.

The military thing is somewhat defunkt now, as the common issue is G-Shock, or similar.
I know what they're used for, I know the purpose of them, but it doesnt change the fact that it *looks* cheap. It's always a personal preference and i know they're comfortable, but i dont like it on anything but a timex ironman.
I have to say I like the NATO look on certain pieces and get way more comments/questions/compliments when my Seamaster Spectre is being worn on its NATO strap vs the steel bracelet.

The watch on steel is very understated and I actually think it looks vastly *more* expensive when on the NATO (and apparently so do most others)

Haha nothing cheap about it, has a nice quality to it and definitely nicer on my wrist in these 40C+ days we've been seeing in parts of Australia with the fabric between skin and the glass case back.

Only thing I wish it had was a ceramic buckle like the OG rubber strap.

It's a nice change though from the original rubber strap and distressed leathers one I've got.

Plenty of cheap and nasty watches around with steel bracelet. Can't pair a steel bracelet with a full ceramic anyway.
