X6M after market exhaust
Hello,
I have installed a rear section exhaust mufflers from supersprint (hamann) and planning to add down pipes as well. Akrapovic just released one for cheaper than supersprint, is it ok to change between after market brands fr exhaust or better to keep it all same brand? And would changing downpipes void my warranty since it adds hp??? Thanks! |

You can install any kind of downpipes to any exhaust. All downpipes connect to factory midpipes. All cat backs fit to factory exhaust pipes. Altering your factory cat convertors for straight Downpipes will void your warranty. BUT you will gain the most power and torque

Build quality is! Also the diameter of the Downpipes should be at least 3"... Some start at 3 and taper to 2.5, but I don't know specs of the major manufacturers. AR design I believe are 3"

The AR downpipes look like they were made from scrap/recycled metal. Look at the build quality of Gintani downpipes. Here are the high res pics....they look beautiful in person, pics dont do justice.

U will lose the warranty if you touch the stock cats regardless of catless or aftermarket cat. True power gains come from losing tha cats + TUNE. Plus, u can actually hear the turbos now! Whoooosh
