2010 X5 35d vibration rattling noise during idle

My 2010 BMW 35d sounds fine while driving, but when I come to a stop or the car is idling, there is a rattling noise that sounds like it is coming from behind the center console. The A/C is off. You can hear the noise at the end of this video. Any idea the cause or what to look for?

Sometimes the rattling noise is worse than other times, but only at idle.

I have the except same rattle.. mine seems to be coming from behind the cluster.

Super annoying! did you manage to find out what caused yours

Yes, the plastic engine compartment pieces cracked and fell on top of the engine. I removed the engine cover, and found all of the broken plastic pieces. I then ordered new parts from Amazon and reinstall. The hardest part was finding all of the screws. I went to BMW parts department and using some photos figured out what screws to purchase. The screws were more than the part on Amazon.

I hope you aren't using that centre partition. BMW updated the part with wings so the injectors don't flood with rain water.
