Yes it was an option on the e70, but not exactly cheap. (Edit: I'm not positive but I think if you have the third row option you are out of luck - or need to remove third row and replace with non third row components)
Here is a kit at ECS tuning, but I think most people try to buy a used kit or piece together their own: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assemble...71106775773kt/ |

I don't have the 3rd row seat and hope that if I remove the under floor cover there will the space for the spare and mount. |

There is definitely a kit. I have 3rd row, so no go for me. But I got rid of run flats anyway.
I keep a patch kit, scissor jack, lug wrench and mini compressor under the back floorboard near the battery. It all fits like it was made for it. |

I purchased the kit from bimmerzone - It was the lowest price for a mounted tire that I could find. Yes, there are other kits out there a bit cheaper, but they don't come with the tire mounted and balanced on the wheel. Not sure why, but that is what I ran into. So you have to add that additional cost.
https://bimmerzone.com/products/bmw-...ncy-spare-tire I did add the jack kit, if I had to do it again, I would probably skip the jack kit and use a different jack and lug wrench. |

Not only are there good spare options out there. I think I got mine off ebay. But don't forget to get the strut for the hatch floor, if you don't already have it. So that the floor stays up when you lift it up.

Will that spare fit on front and back? If so I assume one should go slow and not very far. What is size of spare ? I kinda just want one in my garage to have in case wife gets a flat. Also maybe mount it on roof rack for trips. Anyone do this??
Edit Backs 315/35 20 so the 20 inch with that setup so what is correct spare? |

Yes, the spare fits both front and rear.
155/90-18 -- 29.0" diameter. The above size assumes you are running OEM tire sizes. If you upsized your tire size, the spare might not be the right one for your car. |
