E70 loud pumping noise from engine

Hello, new poster here so take it easy on me
I have had my e70 8 years now and all in have loved it as its ferried me and family many places.

Recently i have noticed 2 things with hood up the other day to change headlights.

The engine while running makes a pumping (drums in the distance)noise from what sound like the rear of the engine.
I've tried to record this but the sound of the engine covers it when using my phone. I do notice its not present on startup and increases as it warms up to approx 2 beats per second and does not increase with revs.

I also have a oil build up on what i think is the inlet pipework.

Not sure if these are related but would appreciate some pointers before I try and get a place booked at my local garage.

I will try post videos and pictures if I'm allowed as a newbie

Here are a couple pictures of leaking pipe.
As mentioned before it's difficult to hear the drum like noise and may try another video later to see if a small run will make it loud enough to be picked up by my phone mic.
