This custom value results in 64% for the first 10deg of motion, and 20% for last 10deg of motion.
Might be odd request, but care to share video of the 20% closing?

I REALLY want to do this to get rid of the heavy clunk... LOVE this option! I get all the way to the boxes to change the data, but no idea what to put in each on. Do I change the first one one called byte 00 to a 14, the next box to a 16, the next to 1E, et?

^the problem I see with your image is that in mine the character length was 18, you're only showing 14. So is yours showing the first 14 of the 18 characters or the last 14 of the 18 character code. What you actually change is the first two and last two characters (once you have the proper code input) for adjustments.

THANKS for the reply! It scrolls down to show squares for bytes 08 and 09, so they are all available to be changed. I just don't know what type into the individual squares? Explain to me like I am a child (which with coding I am)!!!

THe custom code being entered is 18 characters. Protool is showing 9 boxes to enter 2 characters each so I would assume you just type it working your way down. But I’m also dumb when it comes to this stuff so….

I’ve been meaning to do this so I’ll go out and try in a bit

I suspect as follows:

14
16
1E
26
2E
36
40
40
40

NOTE: Mine started acting up last week which will require me to set it back to default. I then will figure out the issue from there...maybe the latching mechanism in the tailgate or the motor...

That was my presumption, but I have no clue. I'm just a chimpanzee that can type numbers into a box, but not understand them at all!!!

OK thanks, and fingers crossed! But it seems like moving back to factory is just a click of a button... what could possibly go wrong!?!?!?

Thanks again, I did it and it worked, but I wasn't 100% happy with the result. Instead of one big thunk at the end, the tailgate sort of bounced up and the latch motor had to work to grab it, creating sort of a two-step latching process. Videos of both posted below. The second one didn't really capture how it bounced up/the two-step grab. Super, super easy to revert back to standard setting, so I did that. THANKS for confirming the coding, very appreciated!!!

The 14 at the beginning is 20%, where the original is 64% and it can be adjusted percent wise w a hex calculator.

It sounds like your tailgate is doing what mine has started doing. If the latching and or motor aren’t 100% it doesn’t seem to work. Sounds like the 64% slamming can overcome the issues. $0.02.

I can see why the 64% rate is standard if that overcomes any issues.
Speed and power!
