Does anyone recommend when installing manifold to remove alternator to remove heat shielding? Or just bend the heat shielding up? Thank you

Tips and tricks for anyone else pursuing the same project.

1. Intercoolers (charge air coolers) must be removed to remove alternator so that heat shielding can be removed however you can do it without draining the water.

2. You can reuse manifold exhaust header gaskets and turbo train gasket however you must spray them with copper spray first to refurbish them. Works like a dream.

Spool up is incredible!!
Dump valve needs to dump into the atmosphere M5 turbos dont have opening for them
JB4 not working correctly
Now to custom tune
Throttle feels alot lighter
Exhaust note alot deeper
Do you have any pictures of how you modified the m5 inlets ? As they interfere with the oil line . Regards

Just heads up. You are also going to have to swap the oil filler neck as almost impossible to fit air intake on M5 inlets. Interference with the huge long filler neck of x6M

Installed oil filler neck from an n63 or m5. Now intakes fit proper..here is also some pics of my crankcase evac pump. That plums into my exhaust venturi the smog pump I have converted with a brushless motor with speed control. The exhaust venturi also helps create some vacuum. I chose a vortex style impeller for evac pump. When taking apart the manifold and turbos was amazing how free of oil coak my exhaust valves and intakes were. Even the inside on my downpipes were clean inside. No soot or anything. No oil in intercoolers either. Also because of the smog pump injecting some fresh air into exhaust after the downpipes. I literally have zero bad smells despite me having no catts. As the oxygen oxidises some of the unburnt fuel.

The first one was useful, thanks!
