EGR Delete Question
Hi Everyone & Happy New Year, X5 E70 30D currently on Limp Mode after Turbo Blew up, we replaced the Turbo, DPF Removed from Car, Decat + ECU Deleted, but still no power.
After almost giving up, last week we replaced the brake hose pipe shown below in blue, the original one had kinked, making brakes to malfunction, while at that we noticed that the EGR is blowing smoking as shown below, the pipe where the smoke comes out is lose, U can rock it back and forth by hand, and there's an additional small whole next to it also smoking. Could this be the Calprit for Limp Mode? Should I replace or rather do EGR delete here? |

Anyone? I'd also like to know the answer to this question.
EDIT: After watching more videos and reading posts across this forum and the 335d forum, I understand the overall deleting/"potholing" process. You should delete it! It's gone bad on you anyway, why spend the money to replace it with another one? Plus your EGR cooler will need checking out too, so just save yourself the hassle and delete the whole mess. Get a EGR delete kit and reprogram your ECU from the place you got it in the first place. Hope this makes sense. Have fun! Last edited by Sven Olfheim; 01-27-2023 at 11:14 PM.. |
