X6 Roof Rack Crossbars(Bikes)?
My X6M has the rare, OEM roof racks. I'm looking for a good, sturdy, cycle-friendly roof crossbar option that is somewhat aero and locks.
This is to haul two lightweight, Carbon Fiber Cyclocross bikes. Prefers to remove both front wheels. TIA

On my X5M I use the Thule aerobars. Mine has the lower profile roof rails, but they should make a fit kit for yours as well. Check out Rackattack online, they are the go to rack supplier here in Colorado.
So far as bike mounts, there are many options, I prefer the fork mount as well, and use a Rockymounts Switchhitter that fits perfect with the thru-axle on my mtb, but they have quick release style as well. |

I have the same bars. While I intend to get some crossbars, i went this route for the bike.

https://www.rackattack.com/fit/bmw/x6/2010/ Roof Rails..
The rails you have evidently use a different system than the flush ones, but those are the options I see real fast. |

I just bought it from BMW of San Francisco via Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004UHWZIO/
Arrived in two days in south bay with no extra shipping. (Came out cheaper than ecs and bmwpartspros) Landed a few weeks ago. Haven't had a chance to mount yet. I'm still in the process of getting the bikes ready for spring and hoping to go out for a ride soon. |
