Reinstall went well. I did struggle with the gasket in the rear, which made me feel a little nervous that I was pinching the gasket. If there is any place to use RTV, it is definitely on the back!

Other than that, Car did run rough initially and stalled. Gave me a code for P00BC, and upon inspection, looks like this is somewhat weirdly typical. I posted in another thread named "P00BC code after valve cover replacement." I cleared the code and it hasn't come back since. The CCV on the back made a click when reattaching, so I knew it wasn't that.

Anyways, all is well at this point :-). You definitely need to remove the cover bracket to remove the valve cover and install it after it is replaced.

I just did the same. Only thing mechanic recommended was plugs at the same time....

If you haven't done the plugs in the last 60k or so, now would be a great time. Save it for the end so you don't risk dropping one of the valvetronic bolts into the cylinder!
