bandwagon X6M

Picked up this beast on Friday from a little dealer in STL and loved every minute driving back home to Omaha.

Not much planned for mod's, just a few little things for stock+

Was deciding between the full //M and 50i w/ Performance Package - I 'settled' with the ZHP vert, so made the leap with the X6.

First 'mod' - someone at Lowes was nice enough to give me a nice door ding.

We can't have anything nice.

Damn bro that sucks... whenever I go somewhere I park around no one.. a empty parking lot don't care how far the walk is. Most people don't care and will do stuff like this and just walk away.

sorry to hear about it

same thing happen to me few month back at my work parking lot, I started to park far away from everybody since but that won't change the fact, also sometimes it's just not possible to park like that.

It always sucks when something like this happens but you just got the car so it's even more painful...

Just got one of these. Do you think a pdr guy will get that to an unnoticeable state or this is a full door respray?

It's all depends on how bad the damage is, mine actually wasn't as bad, the white you see on my picture is actually the paint from the white car door that hit me. I removed that paint, I know left with the dent not that noticeable at first. I will need to take care of it eventually but I can live with it for now...

Yea i have the same exact ding but with paint damage. I haven't driven the car in several weeks bc of this and trading her in has a lot to do with it. A respray on a door is always going to be the first thing I see when I look at the car and a pdr guy isn't going to be able to do anything about the paint damage.

I know it sounds like i'm over exaggerating (probably am) but this was a really really painful dent / paint damage. I am super anal about certain things and door dings is on the top of the list. I never park near anyone in a lot, i cant even think of how or when this could have happened. It's on the passenger side so I cant even take solace in the fact that it was a little kid. I just keep thinking of a piece or crap slamming my door and walking away with a sense of "eff that guy, haha".

On the second image you can see how the ding creases a 8 inch diameter directly north and south of the ding.

On the crease is a tough one - would probably take your PDR guy to assess. If it's through the paint, then you would likely require a respect.

Mine is in the center of the door, so I hope they can simply smooth it out - still torques me since it's still on temp plates

Yea man i feel for ya. Its such am empty feeling, really just eats at you. Your lucky to be in the center of the door. 100 bucks and an hour and you're as good as new.

BTW good luck with her. X6M looks awesome in that color.

I must be weird... I actually prefer the look of the factory colour (why mine is still stock).

Any plans for further mods?

No major mods planned - probably just a few little things, such as front tints, a nice set of DWS, and OEM performance package pedals.

It's nice enough as is.

Can't wait to swap out the runflats and put these on - discount tire was having a great sale on eBay, plus Continental rebate!

Added M Performance Package pedals - the M should have had those standard. Ties in better with the ///M footrest and are full OEM with no drilling or messing around.

I was a bit surprised that the pedal mechanism was different between the two.

Looks so much better, no idea why they would have left the pedals plain on the m model. Was it fairly straight forward changing the pedal mechanism?

Yes, it's a simple swap - one Allen bolt at the base of the gas pedal and then it unclips at the top. Brake pedal is just the cover - old one comes off easily and then use a little windex or rubbing alcohol to help finesse the new one on.

Thanks! I feel like mine needs to be replaced. Not sure what happened but the gas pedal doesn't make that click anymore when pedal is to the floor. Very nice ride you have by the way don't think I've seen one on the road in that color yet.
