Your numbers are also very wrong. Just yesterday 1,112 people died of Covid in the US with a 7-day death average of 418 people per day. The entire US population is ~330 million, so one out of every 330 people in the US died and 1 out of every 96 people who got it died. That doesn't include the people who have long Covid or major health issues resulting from it that lived. My dad spent 3 weeks in a hospital and another 4 weeks in a skilled nursing facility learning how to walk again because it made him so weak that he couldn't sit up in a chair. So with all due respect, fuck off with your conspiracy theories.
This section is a far right echo chamber, so you're basically talking to a wall. Facts do not matter. I stopped doing the legwork because they get ignored anyway.

Facts only matter if you live in a world of reality and logic. We can't be having any of that now. Pardon me while I put on the daily Alex Jones show and jerk off.

You’re obviously very emotional so I’ll let you be. Best of luck to you.

I don’t agree. There are many people who disagree with the “right” on this issue on this forum, and personally I don’t even view the last three years as political. The events began under a different administration and I constantly voiced my displeasure at the time and many arguments ensued here.

Many of the battles of old have forum members in them on current wonderful threads. Nobody needs to take this stuff personal. I have toned down my rhetoric of old and will not engage in personal attacks. I wish all the best.

Hey, I think we all can agree that the options we have for president (both Democrat & Republican) suck some serious balls right now.

I just recently changed my voting status to a registered Independent because basically our whole government is beyond broken at present.

It really sucks that our politicians are in it for their pocketbooks and don't give a rats ass about you and me.

Without getting into politics I agree. We have a unity party in this country with only the illusion of choice unfortunately.

Your views of a broken government, which are 100% correct, are thankfully growing in number amongst others quickly. The actions of the last three years have woken a ton of people up, which is the good I choose to see in all of it.

An irony I observe is that life has been harder for humanity for 99% of our history. The second we have even the slightest return to a (((tiny))) bit of struggle (I.e. statistical normalcy), the collective world loses their bananas.

Exactly, I have often wondered how bad things would truly be in actual pandemic. Something along the lines of Ebola, with a high kill percentage amongst healthy people of all age groups.

The last three years were a test, and unfortunately we collectively showed just how willing we were to give up everything for a virus that primarily affected people unhealthy and past average life expectancy.

They filled in skate parks with sand, and instructed people not to touch each others tennis balls ffs. It was complete insanity over essentially nothing compared to prior periods of REAL strife in human history. This was a social media/24 hour news fueled event. Had this happened 100 years ago, nobody likely even would have thought differently. It would have registered as a bad flu season if at all.

Like I said, our government doesn't care about you and me. They care about who goes to the highest bidder.

I am absolutely flabbergasted at the fact we don't use the vast supply of oil in our country. Although, part of me thinks it is due to the fact that it would drive down oil prices, and god forbid if that happened!

Glad you agree with me. It's almost as if any reference to actual, non-aligned facts are met with anger.

You say Covid was statistically insignificant, they throw individual [tomato] cases at you.
You say the G8x has big grilles, they ban you.
You say 2+2=4, you get silenced.
Man is man, woman is a woman, etc. so on and so on
You get my point.

It is genuinely bizarro world we live in.

Back in the early hysteria period, I vividly remember seeing the story and pics of the young guy being handcuffed and hauled away for...
Walking on a deserted beach in socal.

It may have been for being out period or no mask. Either way, it screamed American Stasi was being put on test run.

Don't even get me started on New Zealand and Australia. Good grief.

Your neighbors to the north are speaking up:

From Barron's.
"According to a new poll by Joint Venture Silicon Valley, 64% of those surveyed said the region is on the wrong track, a more than 10-point increase from last year. In addition, 56% said they plan to leave the area in the next few years, a number that remains unchanged from last year. And 36% said the quality of life in the Bay Area has gotten much worse in the last five years."

Tysons bailed from Chicago today.

That straw on camel is here.

the govt was willing to give black airmen of Tuskegee syphilis in order to view the effects of disease, there was people playing at their funerals too

Definitely a spike in price from last week. I believe I filled up at around $3.70, then today it was back over 4 at 4.14. It'd be nice if this government could keep dino fuel costs down until we are truly ready to transition to a different energy source. No way is the world even remotely close to being able to support EVs completely replacing ICE vehicles.

What I find funny is how the 3rd world inevitably gets HAMMERED by this nonsense. They are a hundred years away from EV adoption.

Those in the West harping about quality of life & the death of the Earth, meanwhile they cause a worsening in the quality of life to an even greater number of people.

Ridiculous.
