Rough cold start, misfires, shutter while accelerating between 1500-2000 RPM
Hello folks,
I am trying to figure out what my plethora of symptoms means for my 2009 X5 3.0i. When I attempt to start the car from cold (overnight or longer) I get rough, higher RPM which cascade until the engine stalls, no power, in gear the engine does not respond to accelerator. Sometimes takes multiple attempts to get the engine warm enough to drive properly. Regardless of a cold start or warm start I always have a shake or shutter in engine performance around the 1500-2000 RPM range of the regardless of what gear I am in. Above 2000 rpm it pulls very smoothly. I typically drive around the problem using sport mode so the rpms are high enough for me not to encounter the problem. I am receiving codes, P0036 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2, P0050 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1, P0012 - A Camshaft Position Timing Over - Retarded Bank 1, P0304 - Cyl 4 Misfire Detected, P0305 - Cyl 5 Misfire Detected, P0306 - Cyl 6 Misfire Detected, P0442 - Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak). I know it is a lot of codes and I likely have overlapping issues but I have scoured the forms but haven't discovered solutions that would apply. The vehicle is new to me. |
