Key Fob mod...
So since me and the wife got our new X5 we've encountered a slight problem, now that we both have the same key fobs it is hard to distinguish which key is for which car, and its so annoying when you get into the car and insert the wrong key
I've had a quick look online and found some key cases like silicone or leather although I don't really like the idea of those, and I've looked at these 'skins' which is basically a sticker that you stick onto your key fob and this sticker is laser cut so that it will stick perfectly to your key fob (I will attach some images) but I can only find a black version of this, I would much rather have it in white so that the key fob is much easier to distinguish next to the other. If anyone knows where to purchase a white version of this or if there is anywhere that I can find an exact size template of the key fob so that I can print it off and use the template to cut out my own, also any-other suggestions to get around this problem would be very much appreciated. Thanks |

Quick add on, one key is for the M5 and one is for the X5, the same is on my wife's set of keys and she too encounters the same problem.

You didn't get these stickers when you bought your car?
Found a colored set on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Key-iden...bd0c3e&vxp=mtr |

Those coloured set you found on eBay look good but they just wouldn't offer the ease of telling which is which like on that key skin I found from Bimmian.com Any other suggestions?? |

Look in your BMW portfolio. All my BMW's have these in with your manuals and other booklets. Or just buy a silver sharpie and mark your keys.
Ps. You should have sprung for comfort access. Problem solved

My wife and I have this issue as well we have 2 X5s and we each have our own key for both. We have 4 different cases, she has red and a white and I have a black and my ///M case. We also put stickers on before we figured the cases out, I had stickers with a man on them so those are on my fobs.

I have the same covers and you are correct you cant add keychain/house keys to your car key.
You can find them as Tischer.
