Currently tune with no issues minus the obvious stuff for maintenance which is a lot better of an experience than my E90/92s. Of course the common issue with those were the CP. I'm curious to know how long mine will hold up but with the E70 everything seems better and more durable compared to the E90/92s

I have the AA stage 2 on my M and have had zero issues. I feel that your safe as long as you go to a shop that does a high volume of vehicles, (AA, Velos, etc), because they are always perfecting their tunes.
I know that if there is any issues with my truck I can contact AA and they will do everything they can to remedy the problem by creating a custom tune for my truck. Having said that, you shouldn't need such service if your vehicle isn't modified in an unusual way. They've tuned thousands and know the best, reliable parameters for the vehicle. Just my .02 |

Nice, definitely provide some feedback after your tune is installed. Do you have any bolt ons or are you stock?

I'm assuming you're in an M?
I can only speak for my vehicle and what I see on this forum BUT these are not known to be reliable without any tuning...not sure how much time you spend on here... There is a very slight chance you'll run into "motor" issues. These can handle some real power before they run into issues like bent rods. You're likely looking at stacked tunes with meth and full bolt ons before running into those issues. However, these are notorious for other failures like injectors, vacuum pumps, vacuum hoses, turbo coolant pumps, cooling components, etc.... Tuning, more specifically a tune will only magnify and accelerate the problems you will eventually have to face with owning this vehicle... My advice, go for it...some of this is wear and tear and some of it is unacceptable from a manufacturer of this caliber...most of it will fail eventually but you already knew that if you did your research...you'll only have to replace it a bit sooner than anticipated...why not enjoy it then if it's inevitable... |

Yap, she's a M. Get it back tomorrow. Taking Dinan axle back off and trying a Megan. If that isn't right, probably go eisenmann sport. No other engine mods, did drop it on the h&r 1.2" sport spring and picked up sone wheels for summer.
The tune should be a nice bump. Will let you know how it goes. |

Really dislike the sound of the Dinan. Too weak for my preference. The Megan is so inexpensive, have to just try it. Has decent reviews, and sounds a bit more crisp with a deeper note. If it doesn't work, not really out anything. Will then anti-up for eisenmann or meisterschaft is another possibility.

Update:
tune installed. Wow. best way to describe is as others have, this is the way the car should come from the factory. Noticeably more torque. The megan exhaust is spot on. exactly what I was looking for, a little more sound. |
