X5M misfire again!

Yes, happening again. I replaced the 3 common vacuum lines, as is all too common, plus another one on top of the engine that was obviously broken. Made no difference unfortunately. Drives fine if you never mash the gas. But, then randomly decides to misfire when you drive it hard, then goes into limp mode. Anything else to check on it? It says specifically misfire on cylinder 6 every single time, but I replaced the coil and checked the plug which looks fine. And, I noticed when you do a hard launch from stopped, theres a bug puff of smoke, so probably burning oil again. Any ideas on it?

If you have a misfire that cylinder specific, you replace plug, coil, injector. In that order. Since you already did the coil (assuming it's not a junk Bosch coil made in Slovenia) then replace your plug, you need to eliminate that variable as the next step is a 250 dollar injector. ISTA can perform injector tests so something to consider if you have it.

Aren't the injectors under recall still?

Even though they are the same Injectors, I thought the recall only covered the N63? Definitely worth looking into though.

they are under recall for at least some E70 M's I had all 8 of mine replaced under recall, they put a silver sticker on the driver door jam to denote it had the recall. But the rules depend on what index injector you have.
