Used: Akrapovic Titanium Full Exhaust System (carbon fiber tips) E70 X5M / E71 X6M

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
For sale is a used Akrapovic Evolution titanium full exhaust system with carbon fiber tips for the E70 X5M / E71 X6M. I purchased this exhaust (new) from IND back in 2011.

I'm selling this exhaust because I sold my X5M and no longer have a use for it.
The exhaust is in great condition and only saw California (Cupertino) roads (pretty much always dry, clean roads since it never rains here) . No dents, no cracks, just minor cosmetic wear and tear. One of the carbon fiber exhaust tips has a small nick on the rear backside, likely from a rock or such hitting it. You can't see it while installed since it's on the backside.

As shown in the pictures, the exhaust will be shipped in the original Akrapovic and IND boxes and will be wrapped in the original protective cloth, bubble wrap, etc...

From what I understand, this exhaust should fit both the E70 X5M and E71 X6M, however, if you have an X6M it might be worth double checking with Akrapovic or IND to confirm. It appears to be the same part number on the Akrapovic website so I'm 99% sure it's the same but it's always worth double checking.

Asking $3500, new was $6,981.34 and is now discontinued.
This is probably one the last opportunities to own this amazing exhaust that's second to none in terms of quality, craftsmanship and weight (50lbs lighter then stock).

That's gorgeous! How's the noise level compared to stock?

It's louder than stock but mild when compared to some of the other lesser quality brands. Also zero drone is experienced with this exhaust.

If you want it louder, a lot louder, massively loud, then add non-catalyst downpipes (I'm selling those separately). Non-catalyst downpipes coupled with this exhaust sounds amazing, even V8 race car like.

Here's what this exhaust sounds like (using factory stock/OE downpipes):

Here's what cold start sounds like with non-catalyst "race" downpipes and the complete Akrapovic Evo exhaust: (this was my X5M)

This is another video of the same setup (non-catalyst "race" downpipes and the complete Akrapovic Evo exhaust but with titanium tips - not my X5M)

I have the same kit, mine was $8k & change..…I can attest this sounds great in person, not too loud but let’s you know it’s there. Cold starts are beautiful.
It also has the dual valves on the rear that plug into the factory harness of the stock exhaust valves that open in sport mode or high rpm depending on settings…so If you want it louder you can also program these valves to be open all the time.

Accept NO substitutes. Akrapovic on two cars and soon-to-be three
