X5M Alternator bracket

Trying to replace the alternator on our 2010 X5M. I can not remove the bracket on top of the alternator. It seems like I have to loosen or remove the intercoolers in order to remove the bracket. Anyone has done it before? Any pointer or DIY link? Search on here and Google came up empty.
Thanks in advance.

Undo the fuel line connection on the left side. And bend the tab on the front right of the with a cable holder down 90 degrees. You can pull it out from the front then. You'll be twisting the front upwards while pulling out forwards. There is a YouTube video of a guy explaining the bracket bending. Then the alternator comes out from the back side. Careful of the plastic cover on the back of the alternator, it is not very strong.
