good call on the links, I wanted to replace mine couple of years ago when I was playing with coilovers settings but never got around, they might look nasty but they usually still work!
as far as front plate and M-Performance lip goes, I rather keep the lip intact, after all I payed $1500+ for it, I guess its a choice u have to make, to hide the plate or have the lip

I'm in talks with Vargas TurboTech about making some billet adapters for the oil likes, as well as billet AN fittings for BMW clamp connections. I'm looking forward to replacing the ridged vent pipe with a nice braided AN fitting line as well as adding catch cans. I'll keep you posted. I put in an order for 10-20 of each. They will let me know shortly what it will all cost etc, I will also have to pay for them to create the drawing etc I would think.

It was great reading through your journal and it was nice to see somebody from Iowa! I've been spending time in the Quad Cities area for the past few years.

Cool! Hey thanks for checking out my journal, and let me know if you want to meet up sometime. They do cars and coffee in Des Moines, but I might be heading to Chicago area for some of the M meets there after talking with NCA motorsports...

Received some carbon fiber mirror covers. Fitment and craftsmanship seems excellent. I just decided I don't like them with my color though and will be painting my mirror covers a matte black to match my IND emblems

So today I deleted one of my vacuum canisters, I've done a bunch of research and these seem to be used as a failsafe in the event there is not enough vacuum to run things. I'm already not using the exhaust flappers, so I'm in excess anyway. It's basically for areas that see altitude and pressure changes often, and 2 is more than overkill, there are a bunch of folks that delete them altogether. I just T'd the driver side out as it just has all of that mess run over the engine. I'm trying to slowly declutter my engine bay and make it something nice to look at instead of a mess. Also make it easier to work on and get to things.
Still have to cut the excess hose and mount the passenger side canister somewhere out of the way. I'm thinking in the space behind the partition. Then I'll be able to delete the o2 sensor bridge. I have some plans for how to route that wiring as well. Might replace some of all of these vacuum lines with silicone lines in the future. |

Nice. I've started the silicone vac line swap. Also was just thinking about a delete on the canisters- glad you can be the guinea pig here
Do you have the vac line routing diagram? On passenger side I can't seem to trace down far enough to see where the other ends are- my guess is I have to start removing things |
