They really don't . You need to use lots of lube. Besides claybars will leave marring as well. If you are going to polish anyway what difference would it make.

I've never had issues detailing with a clay bar when necessary. Frankly I prefer using the clay vs using heavy cut compound to save some of the clear coat layer. As long as you use the clay correctly it will very quickly prep your surface for polishing.

Agree, I use a clay bar all the time on my white X5, especially the rear end. Never had issues, does a great job.

Photoshopped but I will be going coils for sure after the winter.
Summer time is guns and bike money. Winter and Spring time is car money.

I think the front looks awesome, but maybe bring the rear up just a smidge for a little rake?

Nope. Im actually one of the few that prefer these over the LED. LED are to bling bling for me. I like that the stockers appear dark.

You still planning to go to Mpact East?
I just registered my X5M for the roll race event on Friday and the show on Saturday... Mark your calanders: July 8+9th is coming fast! I have been going to Bimmerfest for a few years. The event itself has always been enjoyable, but the new venue sucked! It was nothing more than a dust and gravel bowl. I will not be going back unless they move it to a better location. Mpact, on the other hand will be excellent at beautiful Pocono Raceway with a host of vendors and roll racing on Friday! Looking forward to this. Hoping you will be there to represent and share your X5M! |

Daughter loves setup and her time spent looking out of the pano, which gets shut as soon as she starts to fall asleep.
