Wheels are Modulare C15 with brushed and tinted lips along with black centers. I'm usually not a fan of dark colored wheels so we'll see how things turn out after everything is done. My original plan was to go with OEM style 469 knockoffs but I was concerned about weight. Then I was set on going with Forgestar Wheels until I came across these.

Just finished installing the Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs. I'm going to give it a week or so to settle then will do some photos. As of right now the drop is noticeable in the front but less in the back. Will wait it out to see how much lower it goes.

Pre-Lowering Measurements
So here's just some stats on my setup prior to lowering. As mentioned I'm going to give it a week or two to settle before I align and take new measurements to share. Stock (tank near empty, no passengers, no load in back): Front Right: 32" Rear Right: 31.75" Front Left: 32" Rear Left: 32.25" Preliminary Lowering Measurements (2-3 miles after springs installed. Same scenario as above): Front Right: 31.125" Rear Right: 31.50" Front Left: 31.9375" Rear Left: 31.75" Photo of Zeus prior to lowering springs installed: Pic of the springs being installed: |

Why not go for Gunmetal centers with tinted lips? I think that would look awesome.
Plus, its more of an updated look. |

Right now I'm just interested in seeing if I even like the wheel look on my X5. I didn't want to drop another $600+ on painting the centers in the event I wasn't committed to keeping the wheels. Once everything is mounted I'll know whether or not I'll keep these or go with the original plan, 22" Forgestar F14 wheels.

He tends to be more classic and conservative, so he made the final decision to powder coat the centers in OEM silver and brush the lips... If they were going on mine, I would have done Gunmetal centers and Gunmetal lips (my truck is space gray, his X5M is white). Gunmetal seems to go well with every color. |

I would agree about the gunmetal color working on most vehicles and I was actually planning on going that route with the Forgestar setup. Since I'm pretty well versed with photoshop, once the wheels go on I can play around with colors and get a pretty good idea with which direction to go.

Forgestars
I had those forgestars on my 50M Sport and they looked great, but were poor quality. They were soft, I had to take out a lot of dents and ultimately cracked a rim going through a pothole here in Miami (yes, we actually have potholes and it was at night in the rain). The tire did not bend, rather it cracked like an orange peel.
When I called forgestar to ask for a single wheel replacement I was quoted $800. I think the single tire cost was more a tire in a set. Support was not very helpful even when I mentioned what happened and that I was surprised the Rim cracked. Id rather buy a BBS rim or Velos rim than Forgestar. Just my $0.02. These are heavy trucks and you need a quality rim. Last edited by muddycharles; 01-26-2016 at 12:03 PM.. Reason: update |
