You need better optics. I can recommend Aimpoint red dots for up close and personal. Nightforce for far away, but still personal. Vortex for the budget-minded.

I should’ve been more clear. Optics from a social construct/anti-LEO climate perspective. He has a history of wanting to die via suicide-by-cop and he reiterated that when this began Friday afternoon. It’s an SEB/SWAT operation currently. They took over Friday after we took about 30 rounds from this guy. We have a new Sheriff who has no experience running a department of this size. It’s really a mess from many angles.

I was going to jump in and suggest that perhaps we were talking about different "optics".

….but, the dude shot at two Jehovah Witnesses multiple times and hit his lady over the head with a rifle stock before shooting at us for two days (…one round nearly killing one of my partners; the round whizzed right by his head and hit the side-view mirror of a parked car). He wanted to take everybody with him.

Tom Sizemore passed away on the 3rd. I always liked him in military roles.

Although the circumstances were unfortunate, BHD is still one of my fav movies. One of my AIT buddies knows Jeff Struecker. He was the guy in the movie who said "Everyone feels the same way you do. It's what you do right now that makes a difference."

I don't suppose that mini cat would fit through a double set of front doors? Just drive it right in to the house and take it for a spin to see what the suspect is up to? Maybe saw him in half while you're at it? Oh wait, optics...yeah, don't do the last bit.

I used to work with a guy who'd been on the ETF (SWAT), he'd gone out for Indian food and the next day his team was doing a dynamic warrant for guns and drugs....midway through the raid he had an urgent matter to tend to so he had the gun team barricade the washroom door while he answered the call.

I'd lay a tag whenever I saw one, but searching parking lots for that isn't really high on the priority list. I know most places have Parking Enforcement who deal with those. But in Toronto it was about volume of tags on rush hour routes to keep traffic moving.

I'm a bit sensitive to that violation as my father-in-law needed a spot, as does my sister-in-law now. I wish I could ticket them!

Or you could become a cop and help shore up the depleting force and then you could hunt to your content.

Can't... I'm too old and couldn't pass the physical due to a CABG 5 years ago.
