I plan on getting a MY2017 M5(blue of course) as soon as they show up on the showroom floors. 600 HP and AWD! My daughter is at an age that I don't have to worry about her kicking the living shit out of the back seats anymore...my wifes' 50i seat backs and rear vents are destroyed lol I've only put 11k miles on my X5M since buying it over 2 years ago(only has 64k miles) and spent way too much on mods(thanks to you Kimo) lol...it's a shame she just sits in the garage and gets driven once or twice a month You're old beast was such a huge influence for me color and mod wise, I will follow suit and get myself an M5 as well and see how broke this community can make me

I'm still undecided if I'm going to sell the beast...been getting nothing but low ball offers. I'm going to do another 3 step paint correction next weekend to get that flawless paint to pop a little more before winter
In the mean time I've been modding my Tahoe I use as my dd...full Cadillac Escalade interior swap and just painted it with Herculiner, she's sitting over 8ft tall I know it's not a bimmer but true car enthusiasts enjoy modding all types of cars/trucks...A few before and after pics since I bought it for $1,500

Tahoe looks great brother
unfortunately it's not a seller's market when it comes to sell our beasts might as well keep it but I know that M5 temptation

I took advantage of a nice warm day yesterday so I decided to swap out my wifes' summer wheels to winter wheels...after removing the front wheel, I realized I sold my 15mm hub centric spacers a few years ago in order to mount the 298's
It was definitely one of those days...I called ECS Tuning and ordered a new set of H&R spacers, they should be here by next weekend just in time for the cold weather. I went to put the front wheel back on and snapped my breaker bar!...I guess this is why my buddies call me meat lol The X5M will get one more bubble bath before hibernating in the garage till spring

The beast is officially gone!...with another kid on the way she wasn't a very practical truck with gas fumes filling the cabin each time I drove it. I think my 3yo daughter is going to miss it just as much as I am since her favorite color is blue and we can no longer scare the living shit out of people with the ridiculously loud exhaust
just an FYI to anyone looking to sell their fully moded X5M(part them out or return them to stock)...these things have depreciated sooooo much its not even funny! I paid nearly 60k in May of 2015 with 52k miles and have been getting bullshit offers in the ball park of 21-25k with 64k miles 2.5 years later!!! Luckily I found a dealership out in Long Island and the manager was a BMW enthusiast...he knew exactly what he had sitting in his lot and made me a very generous offer for the beast Long story short, I got 31k(with the BBS wheels) and some $ taken off of the sticker price of the new truck I picked up...2014 F-150 Raptor with a 6'' lift...my Amazon shopping cart is already full of goodies....here we go again Next to go will be my wife's 50i M Sport...I'm done with these depreciating E70's!

I was thinking of selling mine about year ago but looked at everything and decided to keep it! You have different situation with another kid on the way etc., Looking at how much you traded it in for I have no desires of getting rid of mine even more, yes mine is 2013 but I just turned 80k miles last week and keep going up as its my daily driver, not to mention I financed my car back in 2015 and as of today based on what I see I own more than it's worth Good luck with new Raptor! those can be fun as well! Hope you'll stay around

There are several nice 50i's listed FS on this forum right now, and I don't think sellers fully understand how much they've depreciated. People are wanting low to mid-30's for a 50i...of course I hope they get these asking prices but I don't know who would pay it when there are many others in the low to mid 20's in good condition, nicely optioned, etc. Good luck selling that 50i! |

Big brother and little sister are both gone(good riddance)...my wife's 50i has been pretty reliable for the past 4 years. Recently she's been complaining about the smell of oil while driving so I took it into the stealership and was told the valve stem seals need to be replaced along with other numerous parts. BMW quoted me $10,965 to repair everything
The 50i has 95k miles and book value is listed around $11k...keep dreaming BMW! In the past week I noticed that it's been slowly bleeding to death, there's oil all over my garage floor and all over the under carriage...time to go! I decided to get my wife another truck with similar power numbers and looks so I traded the 50i in for a 2018 Dodge Durango SRT before the 50i shit the bed...long story short, they gave me $8k for a fully loaded POS Big brother and little sisters final destination...I sold it with the 298 winter wheels so if anyone wants the 333's let me know

Did the Dodge dealer know the extent of issues w/ your 50i? They must have seen/smelt the oil? Either way they just send it to auction anyway, I don't imagine they care. I was fortunate to have BMW cover my valve guide seals just outta warranty, otherwise I would have been trading it in too just like you did, no way was I gonna pay to replace those! |

I'm gonna take a break from BMW's for a while until the kids get a little older but I'm down to only 2 trucks right now and may need a new (fast) toy soon...the awd m5 is nice but the new tesla blows it away...only bad thing is no engine noise or turbos spooling lol

The dodge dealer didn't even look at the x5...they just ran the vin and based their offer on the mileage alone...book value was somewhere around 11k with 10k worth of damage so I jumped all over 8k At least you got them to cover yours for free...10k in repairs is insane!
