I've been having problems with my X6 N55 lately (car is a nightmare with only 68000km, water pump, vanos, oil filter gasket, car is falling apart damnit lol)
i don't think it's related to MHD but I'm glad i have it to monitor my problems. It all started with hesitation when starting the car in cold weather , rpm was jumping a bit between 500 - 1500 rpm. Then I started to feel it when doing WOT. slight hesitation. I even had an engine malfunction which ended up being my intake vanos solenoid. which was changed and working better since. But this week, the car stalls when I put it into drive or reverse. If i let it warm up , and restart it, I can manage to drive it in the neighborhood and it seems like it's better when warming up. i have all the software to diagnose and I have cylinder misfires in every cylinder and injector shut down in cylinder 5 plus super knock in cylinder 5. Spark plugs has been changed in september (less then 5000km) Here is a log from starting my car on idle this morning and when i put it in reverse, I start moving and it stalls after 2-3 seconds. Im trying to figure out if the fuel system numbers or else are okay but I dont see what can be wrong. I'll send the car to BMW but would like to know if you guys see something obvious. I'll post a WOT log as well later today. Thank you for any help I can get, I know it could be vacuum, injector, coils... https://datazap.me/u/jeerouss/log-15...=3-4-6-9-15-17 Here is a log for a 3rd gear pull (which was done before the stalling occured few weeks ago) https://datazap.me/u/jeerouss/log-15...5&mark=131-140 Last edited by jeerouss; 03-22-2019 at 07:58 AM.. |

You replaced the plugs but did you change out the coil packs?

Stupid question...do the late models "E" DME's still require the initial bench-top flash? I've got a 2013 E70, pretty sure I can't flash it.
Edit - not required anymore via MHD. |

Looks like MHD released an update and I was able to flash the wife's E70 without bench flash. Go MHD!

Are the E70 diesel DMEs set up internally in a similar fashion to the N55 DME? Does MHD produce a flash for the 35d yet?
I am still seeing N54 DMEs w/ MHD flashes toasting mosfets at WOT so hesitate to recommend MHD flashes. Last edited by VolksFan; 12-11-2019 at 07:15 PM.. |

The cheapest option for the D is to go for the DUDMD tune. I'm DUDMD stage 2, with full deletes, and that's teh least expensive way to delete and tune. You can absolutely tune without deletes, and some tuners even have remote tuning now. I LOVE my DUDMD stage 2 35d. woke up, and is wonderfully efficient. Also, I'd very much recommend a sutphin transmission tune, if you're still running the stock trans tune. CHP is a huge upgrade over stock, and Sutphin is a HUGE upgrade over XHP in terms of drivability and speed. I guess there is also the jbd option but you'll get error codes with it turned all the way up, and the type of boost controller it is is a piggyback, and it'll make the truck a little smokey. The real tunes are MUCH safer and cleaner running tunes. My DUDMD stage 2 only hazes slightly at full throttle. puffs a bit of smoke at cold idle too, but going down the road you'd never know it was a deleted diesel. even at 100% throttle, if you're not super high in the rpm, it doesnt smoke. |

FINALLY! I have been trying to put MHD onto my 2013 E70 and it refused to work, until two nights ago everything went smooth and the flash took about 10 minutes with the Twisted Cable and adapter.
Now I just need XHP to make their program work on mine. Apparently XHP wont work because my production date is so late for the E70 that it shares modules from the F15 :,( |

Just for the benefit of the community,
I had a K-DCAN to USB cable I knew was good (used before) but no android device. I decided to skip on an android device and figured I would stand up a virtual machine and run an android emulator. I had good luck with the 64 bit VDI for Android-x86 8.1-R3 Oreo from this link: https://www.osboxes.org/android-x86/...86-8-1-r3-vbox Cheers! |

Anyone had issues with burble tune not working in standstill, I have 2011 e70 X5 35i, settings are base 1.5s, sport 2s, soft, 0mph, 1800rpm. I tried parked and neutral position. Works fine I’m DS mode. Other than that, engine pulls hard, very smooth tune.
- Stage 1+ Bone stock N55 - Delphi Coils and spark plugs changed recently. - 102k miles on the motor |
