In the past ,FOR MYSELF, the biggest benefit of free flowing downpipes on a turbocharged car is the decrease in turbo turbo lag. The throttle is always more responsive and in a noticeable. My only gripe, stopping me from purchasing a set for the X5M, is the location of the downpipes and its effect of the gas smell in the car. Hopefully I can meet up with some of you to see how bad or not bad the smell is.

I wonder if the race catted (High flow cats) versions eliminates or reduces smell but still improves performance and sound?
