This is the one I have: “https://a.co/d/12ZkgiQ”. When I looked for the AAwireless they were out of stock so I started looking into others.

Thanks but that’s for Android Auto. I need CarPlay. Looks like their Two+ model does both Android Auto and CarPlay. Looks like it’s for sale on their website for $65.

AAWireless first generation does both CarPlay and Android auto. I'm told the Two+ uses an entirely different protocol. Maybe better, I don't know. I can tell you that the 1st generation works wonders with my Bimmertech MMI.

Hmmmm that’s odd because CarPlay isn’t mentioned anywhere with the older adapter. Even the TWO only mentions Android Auto so I’m somewhat befuddled 😉

I’ve written an email to their support team to ask if they have any experience with the MMI units and its compatibility with CarPlay. Worst case I can just try it and see what happens. I’m also still pending an answer from BimmerTech. Last thing they did was have me update the MCU which made no difference whatsoever.

The 1st generation AAWireless adapter supports Apple CarPlay via an online firmware update, despite initially being designed only for Android Auto. It offers a plug-and-play solution connecting via 5GHz Wi-Fi for a smooth phone mirroring experience. But to be clear it will require an update using the AAWireless app if the prior owner hasn't already done it

Btw, do you have an E70?
