that stand was from Amazon
I have a temp set up now on my old wheel I don't want to commit to a new wheel at $200-300 or whatever until I get a good set up a great wheel with a shitty set up is useless...

im using the G27 wheel and i love it, paid $220 shipped from amazon, like others have said, they sold like crazy cause of GT5, this is why I bought mine a couple of months ago to avoid this very issue
I am also using a wheelstand pro for a stand, very sturdy and easy to fold away for storage |

I just need to find a good set-up..once I can get my current wheel and pedals mounted in a good position... I'll buy a wheel (prly the 911 one)
I don't want to buy a new set and not have a good way to use it..

I have a fanatec wheel (mine works for xbox, pc, and ps3). I've never used the G27, but it's much better than any other wheel I've ever used. I love the fact that it's fully customizable (software). The clubsport pedals are better than almost anything else on the market. Worth the price IMO. I can't stand plastic pedals. The fanatec clubsport pedals offer great feel and you can get different spring rates as well. Supposedly they are developing a clubsport 6speed shifter which will be awesome. The plastic shifter is the only thing I don't really care for with the fanatec wheels.
Here's mine:

I was thinking of getting that with the RennSport Wheel Stand V2. I don't really want to take up too much space with the playseat, otherwise I'd get that.

I'm been using the original Fanatec wheel for over a year mounted on a Playseat. It's a great steering wheel with a very strong force feedback motor. I also have experience with the G25 at my brother's house. Let's just say there's no comparison. I understand there's a price point difference but the G25 feels really cheap. The leather feels thin and 'dry' whereas the Fanatec has thick leather that's actual car grade steering wheel leather. No joke. The Fanatec wheel does not feel like a toy. Another benefit is that it's all wireless other than the AC plug.
I have no experience with the G27 though. |

More on a wheel and/or stand
cause for a playseat, I want to sit in one first somewhere.. I'm not exactly a small guy... you're not either you know lol it would suck to spend like $300-400 on something and not fit right You can get the Porsche 911 Wheel+ stand for less than the price of a playseat I want the GT3 wheel cause of the clubsport pedals... but damn thing is out of stock and I'm not paying for the 911 wheel and then the pedals stand alone... it'll cost more and you won't get the better wheel.

What kind of chair do you use? is it stable enough to make the stand better than a playseat? ($250 price difference..) Also, (I did PM you this, but others may benefit as well): I've noticed on the Logitech wheels is that they have the Playstation buttons (X O R1 R2 etc) but the Fanatec one's don'y What do you in those situations then? Like in GT5, you need to push O to use the ebrake, and hold Triangle (if you're in automatic mode vs manual) to go in reverse.
